99 Days Summer Picnic Series
This summer marks 99 years since R.M. Schindler built his iconic home and studio. Join us to celebrate with 99 days of private picnics, fireside dinners, luxurious food, and curated cocktails. From May 22nd to August 28th, 2021, we’re welcoming one household at a time to experience summer at the Schindler House.
By advanced reservation, our dedicated followers are invited to enjoy a romantic date night or a refreshing outing for the family while supporting the MAK Center for Art and Architecture’s annual calendar of exhibitions and programs.
MAK Games 2019
Please join us for the fifth annual MAK Games, a tennis tournament that benefits the MAK Center for Art and Architecture, held at John Lautner’s Sheats-Goldstein Residence.
The tournament features players from the worlds of art, architecture, and entertainment competing in front of a picturesque Los Angeles skyline. The event will also feature cocktails, food, live music, and guided tours of Lautner’s landmark design.
Director’s Dinner Hosted By MAK Center and YOLA Mezcal with Ignacio Mattos and Lykke Li
You are cordially invited to the first of a series of director’s dinners hosted by Yola Mezcal & The MAK Center at which Lykke Li will perform live under the jacaranda tree with food prepared by Ignacio Mattos of Estela and gifts from Sunday Goods.
MAK Games 2018
The MAK Center for Art and Architecture is held its Fourth Annual MAK Games at the famous Sheats-Goldstein Residence in Beverly Hills, a landmark house designed by John Lautner, on Saturday, July 21. This late afternoon-into-evening party featured the semi-finals and final tournament matches, followed by a Pro-Am match, followed by a dance party in the incomparable “Club James” hidden below the court.

The MAK Center for Art and Architecture at the Schindler House was pleased to announce its Third Annual MAK Games, a benefit tournament that combined tennis, architecture, art, cocktails, barbecue, and a fabulous party, held at the spectacular Sheats/Goldstein Residence designed by John Lautner.
MAK Games 2014
The second annual MAK Games, a tennis tournament that benefits the MAK Center for Art and Architecture, was held at the Sheats/Goldstein house. Guests enjoyed cocktails, bar-b-que, music, and tours of the house while cheering on their favorite team.
Light My Way, Stranger: First Day of the Dead Auction
The MAK Center presented a set of unique light fixtures, largely one-of-a-kind, designed specifically for this event by a select group of Los Angeles architects and artists.
