Final Projects: Group L Opening Reception
The MAK Center for Art and Architecture is pleased to present Final Projects: Group L, featuring works by Emilija Škarnulytė, Julia Obleitner, Helvijs Savickis, and Manuel Gorkiewicz. This exhibition marks the culmination of the fiftieth iteration of the Artists & Architects-in-Residence Program at the Mackey Apartments.
Duchamp the Messenger
The MAK Center hosted a free form, ten-session seminar with art historian Thierry de Duve on the passage from the Fine Arts system to the contemporary art world, which de Duve calls the ‘’Art-in-General system.”
A Composite Field
In conjunction with the MAK Center, Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions (LACE) presented A Composite Field, a new work by Yann Novak and Taisha Paggett at the Mackey Garage Top. Curated by Dino Dinco, this work brought together sound and installation artist Novak and choreographer and dancer Paggett.
