The MAK Center, in collaboration with artist Cindy Bernard, presented an experimental summer performance series that featured musicians and sound artists interacting with the acoustics of the Schindler House.
June 17: KRAIG GRADY ROD POOLE
The series opened with acoustic resonance for a space between the ears nestling just behind vague memories and almost forgotten dreams, featuring sound artist Kraig Grady and Rod Poole’s Voice of the Bowed Guitar.
An arid ambiance improvised to fill the cavity of your soul, featured solo horn artists Vinny Golia, Lynn Johnston, Sara Schoenbeck, and Wadada Leo Smith.
The series presented Carla Bozulich
The series concluded with wondrous, strangely strange, surreal and weirdly sublime, performances by Extended Organ and Solid Eye.
