Continuing the discussion around the How Many Billboards? exhibition, this panel was co-presented by the MAK Center, the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) and the Goethe-Institut Los Angeles. Comprised of outdoor media, art, architecture, and planning experts, the event focused on current architectural signage and surface strategies to review the city’s relationship between consumer ads and urban structures. 


Participants included architect Bill Roschen, President of the International Urban Screens Association Mirjam Struppek, Senior City Planner for the City of Los Angeles Alan Bell, and President of the Coalition to Ban Billboard Blight Dennis Hathaway.
