heaven’s gift — Contemporary Art Tower, A New Programmatic Strategy for the Presentation of Contemporary Art, by design partners Peter Noever, Sepp Müller, and Michael Embacher, addressed new curatorial strategies by proposing to transform an enormous World War II anti-aircraft tower into an international center for contemporary art. Presenting an architectural model, design sketches, and realization plans, the exhibition detailed the proposed building renovation and interventions by artists Jenny Holzer and James Turrell. The show was presented at the Gateway Warehouse in the Hayden Tract in Culver City.

Pierrot Lunaire, January 14, 2001. A performance of Arnold Schönberg’s 1912 masterpiece, the song cycle Pierrot Lunaire, at the Conjunctive Points Complex in Culver City (Eric Owen Moss) and hosted by Samitaur Constructs. Conducted by Marc Lowenstein and performed by Jacqueline Bobak, soprano; David Shostac, flute; Gary Gray, clarinet; Connie Kupka, violin; David Speltz, cello; and Natalie Dalschaert, piano. The concert was followed by a panel discussion featuring the respected Schönberg expert Leonard Stein and professor Michael Meyer, an authority on the fate of avant-garde musicians in Nazi Germany.
