In conjunction with the exhibition Sympathetic Seeing: Esther McCoy and the Heart of American Modernist Architecture and Design, the MAK Center presented a film screening and discussion considering two films made by Esther McCoy.

Architecture West (1950), written by McCoy and directed by Erven Jourdan, was shown along with The Dodge House, 1916 (1965), also written by McCoy and directed by Academy Award winner Robert Snyder.

The discussion featured architect and critic Joseph Giovannini, filmmaker Baylis Glascock, and writer and co-curator of Sympathetic Seeing Susan Morgan. The talk was moderated by MAK Center director Kimberli Meyer.
