London-based trio Peles Empire (Barbara Wolff, Katharina Stoever and Marc Cohen) began their MAK Center residency with an installation in their apartment entitled Something To Do With A Castle. Using photocopies as wallpaper, they continued a theme in their work of recreating rooms of a nineteenth century Romanian castle within their own domestic surroundings. The room became the site for a series of art exhibitions that continued throughout the summer. Exhibitions began on July 9th with a group show of California artists curated by San Francisco dealer Jessica Silverman called A Kingdom for a Horse and continued with solo exhibitions by London and Frankfurt-based artists Lia Anna Hennig (Skeletons in the Cupboard), Kart Orton, Kerstin Cmelka (Lachkonserve / On Love) and Thomas Livesey (Pinky and the Brain).
